Rental Property Registration
In February of 2002, Greenwood City Council adopted Ordinance No. 02-003 which requires the yearly registration of rental property within the City of Greenwood by April 15 of each year. The owner of the rental property must provide the name of a person, firm, or corporation located within a 75-mile radius of the City of Greenwood responsible for the care and maintenance of the dwelling. The registration of rental property does not require a fee. By registering rental property, the City will be able to build a database for contacting the person(s) responsible for maintaining the property, thereby addressing problems faster.
