City Spraying Second Treatment As a Result of Confirmed West Nile Case

The City of Greenwood received notification on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) of a positive West Nile Virus (WNV) case near the middle of the City limits.  As a result, the City followed the SCDHEC recommended response and implemented targeted dawn and dusk ground spraying in a designated zone the evening of Friday, August 24, the morning of Saturday, August 25 and the evening of Saturday, August 25.   Per the SCDHEC recommended response, the City is applying a second treatment in the targeted area Friday, September 7 from 7 to 9 PM and Saturday, September 8 from 6 to 8 AM and 7 to 9 PM.
