The City of Greenwood recognizes and appreciates the value that parks and recreation adds to quality of life. To that end, the City partners with Greenwood County Parks and Recreation and Greater Greenwood Parks and Trails Foundation to enhance greenspace throughout Greenwood. Listed below are parks and recreation opportunities available in the City. WEST CAMBRIDGE PARK

The West Cambridge Park is located at 451 Grove Street in the City of Greenwood. This 11 acre park offers an open-air pavilion, picnic shelters, benches, playground, public restrooms and a walking/biking trail. For a location map, click here. MAGNOLIA PARK

Magnolia Park is located at 244 Magnolia Avenue in the City of Greenwood. This 3 acre park offers a walking trail, playground and picnic area. For a location map, click here. For more information on holding an event at the park or reserving the pavilion contact Melissa Hawkins at 864-223-4258.

HERITAGE TRAIL

Built along Greenwood’s abandoned railroad lines, the Heritage Trail extends 2.5 miles and offers an excellent opportunity for biking, walking, jogging and skating. The trail can be accessed at the trailhead on South Main Street in the City of Greenwood (next to The Palmetto Bank). For a location map,click here. GREENWOOD CITY GARDEN

Located at 510 West Cambridge Avenue, this 1 acre green space in the City of Greenwood boasts a quaint gazebo that is the perfect place for small gatherings or relaxation. For a location map,click here. For more information, contact the City of Greenwood at (864) 942-8412.

GRACE STREET DOG PARK

Imagine a safe, comfortable, and exciting park for dogs and their owners to enjoy quality time together. Funded solely from private donations, the Dog Park is located at 112 Merrywood Drive. For Dog Park Rules click here. Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals or organizations that would like to dedicate a bench or picnic table to the park. Dog Park patrons can also recognize a beloved pet with the purchase of an engraved brick.
