Uptown Greenwood Overlay

Identified in the 2004 Greenwood City Center Master Plan, the Uptown Greenwood Overlay was adopted in January of 2007 to establish Greenwood's first overlay design review district.  The overlay includes all properties within and adjacent to Uptown Greenwood's Emerald Triangle Arts and Cultural District along Oregon and Maxwell Avenues.  CLICK HERE (pdf) to download the text of the Uptown Greenwood Overlay.

BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

A public hearing will be held before the City of Greenwood Board of Architectural Review on Wednesday, October 17 at 12:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Room 207 of the Greenwood City Hall located at 520 Monument Street, Greenwood, South Carolina.  Public hearings will be held on the following items:

 A.      H-07-10-01 by the Greenwood Museum.  This request is for a Certificate of Appropriateness for renovations to the exterior of the main structure and warehouse located at 106 Main Street (Tax Map No. 6846-872-013).  The property is located in the O-UP (Uptown Greenwood) Overlay District.

B.      H-7-10-02 by the City of Greenwood for the following properties located within the Uptown Greenwood Overlay (O-UP) to receive a Certificate of Appropriateness to proceed and construct exterior façade improvements:   202 Main St (Tax Map No. 6845-889-991), 204 Main St (Tax Map No. 6845-890-988), 206 Main St (Tax Map No. 6845-890-985), 208 Main St (Tax Map No. 6845-890-983), 302 Main St (Tax Map No. 6845-889-969), 120 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-869-979), 122 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-865-977), 124 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-863-976), 126 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-862-976), 128 Maxwell (Tax Map No. 6845-859-975), 132 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-855-973), 134 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-852-972), 140 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-850-971), 146 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-847-970), 203 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-843-944), 213 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-834-940), 217 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-832-940), 219 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-830-938), 221 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-827-936), 225 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-822-933), 233 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-818-931), 237 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-813-928), 239 Maxwell Ave (Tax Map No. 6845-808-924), and 200 Oregon Avenue (Tax Map No. 6845-842-993).
